    How will my tattoos be viewed?
    I am seriously considering converting to Islam. This is not a "troll" question, so please treat it with respect.

    I have numerous tattoos, some of which are visible even in long-sleeved shirts (not on my face). Is it considered haram, since I got the tattoos prior to my decision? However, I have read that if the tattoos were done prior to converting, then you are forgiven. Is this true?
